Pavana river now among most polluted in country

The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has recorded an increase in biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) levels in the Pavana river over the last two months for the first time in its history, catapulting it into the highest category of polluted riverine stretches in the country.
