Black Stork spotted for 1st time in Hastinapur

MEERUT: In a flash weekend survey conducted by the UP Forest Department and Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS), Black Stork (Immature) was spotted in Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary, now known as the State Swamp Deer Wildlife Sanctuary.
According to the experts, this is the first time this ultra-shy species has been spotted in the sanctuary. Meanwhile, 3,000 ducks have already landed including Siberian Snowcats, the Great Egret, Woolly Neck Stork, etc.
