The Asan wetland conservation reserve, spread across 444.4 hectares in the outskirts of Dehradun, is the winter abode of nearly two dozen species of migratory birds that cover thousands of kilometres to come here from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia and several other countries. However, their stay has got shorter this year.
