2 more cheetahs moved into acclimatisation enclosure in MP’s Kuno National Park

Two more cheetas of the eight translocated from Namibia to Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park were shifted to a larger enclosure on Sunday. Quarantined for 72 days, the female cheetas Asha and Tbilisi were shifted with the other three male cheetahs.

Both the female cheetahs were successfully released into separate compartments of the larger enclosure on Sunday evening. With this, now there are five cheetahs in the big enclosure, while three female cheetahs are still in the small enclosure.

After a leopard was removed from the larger enclosure, Cheetah Task Force members IG Forest Amit Malik, WII Dean YV Jhala and PCCF (Wildlife) JS Chauhan reached Kuno on Sunday morning and discussed it with the local officials.
