State forest dept gears up for national tiger census 2025-26

Thiruvananthapuram: The state forest department is gearing up for the sixth nationwide National Tiger Census 2025-26, which will cover transects and designated paths in 673 blocks in 37 forest divisions. Training for various phases of the census will be organized jointly by Periyar Tiger Conservation Foundation and Parambikulam Tiger Conservation Foundation.
