The conclusion is a result of a thorough assessment carried out by a team of experts, led by scientists from the University of Exeter. The team, after assessing 400 coral reef locations in North and South America, noted that the water ecosystems would face devastating effects if the planet warms by 2C or more compared to pre-industrial levels.
