670 tigers dead in 5 years in India Bombay HC calls for urgent conservation measures

Nagpur: At least 670 tiger deaths across India in five years raised alarms over poaching, habitat destruction, and human-wildlife conflict, prompting the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court to demand stricter conservation measures. The statistics were presented before the bench by amicus curiae Sudhir Voditel, who underscored the need for enforcement of wildlife protection laws to curb the rising toll on the national animal.
