A quarter of freshwater fish species are at high risk of extinction: Report

It has been found that almost 25 per cent of the 23,496 studied species of  decapod crustaceans, fishes and odonates are threatened with extinction.

The finding has been tabled  by a multi-taxon global freshwater fauna assessment for the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of threatened species.
